5 Essential Mac Apps for Pinoy Switchers!
Many years back when me and my friends started a small magazine company about hobbies and collectibles, we came across with this super pinoy (how super? Pixar anybody?) who showed us his workplace and his incredible Mac setup! I was amazed how fast the OS responds to think that multiple applications was opened. From that day, I understand why many multimedia artists opted for this ‘cashmere black turtle neck and levi’s 501 jeans’ creation.
As soon as I have the need(and the money) to buy a new computer, I didn’t hesitate to buy an iMac. Aside from its elegant design, OS and UI, another reason why i love my Mac is because of the lightweight yet powerful applications that you can purchase or download for free in the internet. These applications can boost up your productivity, keep you up to date, organize and etc…
I compiled 5 essential Mac OSx apps that is ideal for new ‘pinoy switchers’. They can either be free or with a fee.

ADIUM
Adium is a free instant messaging application for Mac OS X that can connect to AIM, MSN, Jabber, Yahoo, Facebook chat and more. So, if you want to be connected, without the hassle of opening different IM’s, this is your all-around instant messaging utility in one.
QUICKSILVER
Every Mac should have one. Still not used to Mac’s interface? launch Quicksilver, (I assigned ctrl-space for hotkey), key-in what you want to find and quicksilver will find it for you, in a blink of an eye. A good spotlight replacement.
APPCLEANER
Mac don’t have control panel-add / remove programs. So if you want to thoroughly removed unwanted apps, don’t just drag it. drag it to appcleaner.
SKYPE
If you want a good quality voice transmission, then this app is superior over YM granted you have a good internet connection. A must have app if you do a lot of talking rather than typing.

1PASSWORD
lazy or tired remembering all your passwords? Just remember 1 master password and 1 password will remember and restore them, all directly in your browser.
So, there you have it, 5 essential Mac apps that is good to have for new ‘pinoy switchers’.
Did i missed something that you are using that I’m not? then feel free to add your app to the comments section below so we can also try it out!
