HDR – Philippines

HDR – Philippines

I’ve been to progressive countries and they have the technologies the modern generation can offer, but what we have is simply crafted by no man’s hand, a beautiful portrait that is alive and moving…Nature’s Beauty. So, before we go places, Is it a nice idea to start with what we have and show it to the them?

High dynamic range imaging (HDRI or commonly called HDR) is a technique that allows a greater ‘dynamicity’ of an image rather than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This is not a tutorial for HDR so pardon if I won’t go through much of it. If you are really interested, just type Trey Ratcliffe in your search engine (He’s not a Pinoy!-ed).

I love HDR that’s why I’ve chosen to post places that is ‘HDR-d’, to show the finer details of the subject.

This post will be a part of a series showing the most inspiring HDR images featuring places visited and captured by Pinoy photographers, Hope you will be inspired, and Proud!

Cagsawa Ruins

Cagsawa Ruins by Chauromano
In 1814, the Mayon Volcano erupted and sent lava flows cascading down its sides. The townspeople of Cagsawa fled to the church where they perished when it was engulfed in the fiery flows. Today, only the church tower remains as a memorial.

Ode to Patriotism [Luneta - HDR]

Ode to Patriotism by Alvin Lamucho

Luneta (Rizal Park) Manila, Philippines has been the site of some of the most significant moments in Philippine history . Among them are the execution of José Rizal on December 30, 1896, whose execution made him a hero of the Philippine Revolution. (It was officially renamedRizal Park in his memory.); the Declaration of Philippine Independence from American rule on June 12, 1946; and the political rallies of Ferdinand Marcos and Corazon Aquino in 1986.

So, there you go, an initial installment of our journey to the whole world via the eyes and ‘glass’ of Pinoy photographers. I know there are many beautiful photos available out there. In flickr alone, countless of beautiful photos are uploaded by our fellow amateur and professional photographers but i have to respect their rules since most of their ‘share’ links are disabled. i Pinoy like to share those beautiful artworks that is sometimes left ‘unsorted’ in this vast ocean of information. So if you, your friend, or your friend’s friend has something to share, as long as it is ‘pinoyish’, send me a link, an e-mail at admin@ipinoylike.com or post a comment and i’ll try my best to share it here. Cheers.
