IPL Photography Tips : Learn Perspective
There are many ways to improve one’s photographs, I certainly enjoy learning about them. One thing I found valuable is learning how to use perspective to my advantage.
Here are a few tips that I found useful and hope will help any other aspiring photographers out there who want to perfect their technique.
Shoot in a different angle to make smaller objects big
Perspective can change the visual impact of an image, it can make smaller subjects bigger, or make weaker subjects appear strong.
It is often the difference between a good image and a great image- one that you want to have as your wallpaper/ screensaver so that when you have finished typing e-mails, playing diablo, or even playing some online games, you can admire it.
One way to use perspective is to take a photograph from an unusual angle. This will make the subject appear different from the way it normally looks and will add instant interest. For example, toys of your kids normally appear small when viewed while standing but try to crouch down or lie with your stomach on the ground while taking the photograph and you will be able to portray it differently.
Use leading lines
Another way you can use perspective is to pay attention to where the lines lead in your photograph. This gives the viewer’s eye a path to follow and help them see the way you saw it.
